U.S. containerboard production in April down 1.9% year-over-year, 8% month-over-month; daily production down 5% from March: AF&PA

WASHINGTON , May 18, 2012 (press release) – The American Forest & Paper Association released its April 2012 U. S. Containerboard Statistics Report today.  Containerboard production lost 1.9% over the same month last year.  Production was down 8% compared to March 2012, and the month over month average daily production decreased 5%.  The containerboard operating rate for April 2012 fell over March 2012 from 95.7% to 91%.
