Euro Chlor reports 0.2% year-over-year increase in European chlorine production in April to 834,083 tonnes; April caustic soda stocks up 7% to 278,994 tonnes

BRUSSELS , May 11, 2012 (press release) – In April the European chlorine production reached 834,083 tonnes. With 27,803 tonnes, the April average daily production was 0.6% higher than in the previous month (March 2012: 27,642 tonnes), and 0.2% higher than in April 2011 (27,737 tonnes).

Like 2011 the April caustic soda stocks (at 278,994 tonnes) showed an increase of 11.6% over the previous month (March 2012: 250,098 tonnes), and were 18,319 tonnes above the level of April 2011 (260,675 tonnes).
