Stora Enso appoints Alexandre Nicolini in Brazil as sales and marketing VP to head global pulp sales department

Stora Enso has named Alexandre Nicolini as sales and marketing VP to head its pulp global sales department from its first Biomaterials office, located in São Paulo city, Brazil. Nicolini will be responsible for Stora Enso's 1.3 million tonnes/yr of market pulp volumes produced at its two facilities in Sweden and one in Finland.
Stora Enso's pulp global business also includes occasional shipments manufactured by its paper and board integrated facilities and future capacity from new projects.
The company owns 50% of the 1.3 million tonnes/yr Montes del Plata pulp mill, which is under construction in Punta Pereira region, Uruguay. A joint venture between Arauco and Stora Enso, Montes del Plata is expected to start up in the first quarter of 2013.
In China, Stora Enso is also conducting a new pulp investment which will generate around 450,000 tonnes of additional pulp. Its startup is scheduled to late 2014.
Nicolini is 40 years old and has solid experience in pulp and paper international sales thanks to previous experience with Suzano Papel e Celulose and Votorantim Celulose e Papel (now Fibria). Graduated in administration from São Marcos University, in Brazil, Nicolini also holds an International Business MBA from Webster University.
