DUBLIN , March 30, 2012 (press release) – Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/92653c67/turkey_food_and_dr) has announced the addition of the "Turkey Food and Drink Report Q2 2012" report to their offering.

Although Turkey's medium-term macroeconomic outlook has deteriorated significantly in recent months owing to a confluence of domestic and external factors, we still view the country's food and drink market as one of the most promising globally. Our outlook is supported by the country's large and growing population base and aspiring consumers, who are increasingly looking for convenience and novelty. The development of modern mass grocery retail (MGR) outlets will continue to support the development of both values and volumes of food and drink products.

Headline Industry Data

- 2012 per capita food consumption value sales = 6.4%; forecast compound annual growth to 2016 = 7.0%.

- 2012 beer volume sales = 1.5%; forecast compound annual growth to 2016 = 3.8%.

- 2012 mass grocery value retail sales = 12.7%; forecast compound annual growth to 2016 = 12.6%.
