FPA announces its 2012 board of directors; Jim Mize, VP global sector - food packaging solutions of Sealed Air, succeeds William Burke as FPA's chairman

LINTHICUM, Maryland , March 12, 2012 (press release) – The Flexible Packaging Association is pleased to announce the 2012 FPA Board of Directors. Jim Mize, Vice President Global Sector – Food Packaging Solutions of Sealed Air Corporation is the new Chairman of the FPA Board of Directors. Jim succeeds William Burke, formerly of Nordenia U.S.A., who served as FPA Chairman from March 2011 – February 2012.

“It’s an honor to serve as chairman of the Flexible Packaging Association’s Board of Directors. I look forward to a productive year working with FPA members, and staff on a large number of projects,” commented Jim. At Sealed Air Corporation, Jim works to bring new food packaging solutions to customers around the world. With more than 31 years of experience in marketing research and management, and new business development, Jim has worked in a broad range of packaging for perishable foods including fresh and processed meats, dairy products and prepared foods. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech, with an MS degree in Agricultural Economics.

The 2012 Board of Directors were elected by FPA voting members through mail ballot for a one year term, and assumed their directorship at the 2012 FPA Annual Meeting. The Board is comprised of industry leaders from 28 flexible packaging companies. The 2012 FPA Board of Directors includes:
