Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Co. of Tulsa, Oklahoma, has hired a new president and a new regional manager as part of its plans to expand in Oklahoma City, the Tulsa World reported March 21, 2012.
Jim Cavanaugh, appointed president of Mill Creek's lumber and millwork operations in Oklahoma and Kansas, was most recently executive VP of operations and COO of ProBuild, and previously with Hope Lumber and Supply Co., which was acquired by Mill Creek in 2006.
Steve Slater, formerly ProBuild's VP of supply chain for urban market areas, was hired as regional manager of the Oklahoma City region.
Mill Creek already operates a tile and carpet retail store in Oklahoma City, and the company sees the addition of a building supply store as a natural expansion, said Mill Creek CEO Jeff Dunn.
Headquartered in Tulsa, Mill Creek has locations in eight Oklahoma cities and five locations in Texas, its website states. Founded in 1934, the company today is owned by the Dunn family of Tulsa and employs more than 400 full-time employees.
