Supervalu's in-store pharmacies named top large pharmacy chain in Outcomes Medication Therapy Management network

DES MOINES, Iowa , March 23, 2012 (press release) – SUPERVALU has been named the Top Large Pharmacy Chain in the Outcomes Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Network. Eighty-nine percent of the chain’s pharmacies participated in the MTM program in 2011, with a Comprehensive Medication Review (CMR) acceptance rate of seventy-six percent. An early leader in MTM services, SUPERVALU has participated in the Outcomes MTM program since 2006. The chain is the first in the nation to fully integrate its dispensing software system with the Outcomes MTM platform, allowing for significant workflow efficiencies for its pharmacists.

Outcomes also named twenty-five top individual MTM Centers.

Lyons Pharmacy in Elkton, MD, has been named the top MTM Center in Region 5, representing Delaware, Maryland and Washington, DC.
