LOS ANGELES , March 23, 2012 () – Coca-Cola Amatil will spend AU$58 million (US$60.1 million) to buy SABMiller’s Fijian beer and spirits business, The Sydney Morning Herald reported March 23.

The assets were formerly owned by Foster’s Group, which was bought by SABMiller. Coca-Cola Amatil had the rights to buy the Fijian operation as part of a separate deal last year in which it sold its half share in its Australian brewing business to SABMiller.

Meanwhile, discussions are also continuing with SABMIller for Coca-Cola Amatil to buy the Australian non-alcoholic beverage business of Foster's.
