Austrian wood products manufacturer Egger has invested in a continuous laminate press at its Giforn plant in Lower Saxony in response to growth in applications for
continuously pressed laminates (CPL), according to a report by Wood Based Panels International.
The Hymmen line went into production earlier this year, and has created 20 new jobs and increased CPL production capacity by 20%. Currently, production is at 27 million m2/year, a 4.5 million m2 increase over last year.
A new warehouse is also under construction at Giforn with 1,900 m2 of floor space, to enable Egger to mange the logistics associated with increasing customer demand.
