In a bid to expand its daily deal unit, Google Inc. will launch its daily deal service in Austin, Texas; Houston, Philadelphia and Miami, and will begin aggregating daily deals from 11 new websites in addition to sites that it previously used, Internet Retailer reported March 15.
With the expansion, Google’s daily deal service will operate in a total of 40 markets.
The 11 additional sites, which will increase the number of offers in 23 of Google’s daily deal markets, include APDailyDeals.com, Boston.com, DailyDeals.com and Half Off Depot.
If users of Google’s daily deal service wish to personalize their deal offerings, they can fill in a personalization quiz. Google eventually intends to tailor offers based on the online behavior of the user.
