Walmart de Mexico's February sales were 29.9B pesos as same-store sales rose 6.2%; company opened eight stores in month, operates 2,730 total units

– Wal-Mart de Mexico, SAB de CV (WALMEX) informs its shareholders and the investing public general that during the month of February 2012, sales were 29.940 billion pesos, This figure represents a 14.6% increase over sales the same month last year above.
Mexico's total sales increased 14.5% over sales the same month last year above. The store sales, ie, considering all those units that are more one year in operation rose by 6.2% over the previous year.
Considering the 4-week period that runs from January 28 to February 24, 2012 and compared with the 4 weeks ended February 25, 2011, total sales increased 11.4% and comparable store sales registered an increase of 3.4%. Central Sales In the case of Central America, total sales excluding the effects of fluctuations exchange rate rose 10.3% and comparable store sales registered an increase of 3.6%.
