Germany-based Papyrus Kuvert to eliminate 34 jobs at its envelope-producing plant in Ettlingen, Germany, over the next few weeks due to declining demand for envelopes

LOS ANGELES , March 5, 2012 () –

Papyrus Kuvert GmbH & Co. KG will be cutting 34 jobs at its envelope-producing plant in Ettlingen, Germany, over the next few weeks, reported EUWID-Paper on March 5.

The company is being forced to adapt to declining demand for envelopes, said a company spokesperson.

The plant now employs 111 people.

Papyrus Kuvert makes 7 million envelopes a day and generates annual sales of about €26 million (US$34.4 million), EUWID-Paper reported.
