Finch Paper announces US$30-US$60/ton uncoated freesheet paper price increase for U.S., effective with April 1 shipments

LOS ANGELES , March 2, 2012 () – Finch Paper LLC today announced price increases for the U.S. of US$30-US$60 per ton (US1.50-US$3.00 per cwt), for uncoated freesheet paper grades, effective with April 1 shipments.

The increase affects certain offset and opaque grades and includes cutsize, folio sheets and rolls.

The affected brands regarding the $60/ton increase are Finch opaque rolls, Finch Casa opaque rolls, and Finch offset rolls.

The $30/ton increases apply to all Finch opaque sheets, Finch Casa opaque sheets, all Finch fine rolls and sheets, and Premium Blend rolls and sheets.

In its announcement to customers, Finch said all orders entered prior to March 2 will be invoiced at the acknowledged price. It said all other upcharges apply.

On March 1, Domtar and Glatfelter also announced certain uncoated freesheet price increases, also to take effect on April 1.
