Time Inc. names Teri Everett, recent senior VP of Corporate Affairs and Corporate Communications of News Corp., as executive VP of corporate communications, effective March 5

NEW YORK , March 1, 2012 (press release) – Time Inc. today announced the appointment of Teri Everett as executive vice president of corporate communications, effective March 5. In this role, Ms. Everett will manage all aspects of corporate communications for the Company, including media relations and publicity, executive and employee communications, corporate philanthropy, government affairs and social responsibility. Ms. Everett will report to Time Inc. CEO Laura Lang.

"Teri is well-known throughout the media industry as a premier communications strategist and trusted advisor," said Ms. Lang. "One of our priorities is to create a transparent, open dialogue about Time Inc.'s goals and strategies both within the company and to our external constituents. Teri's honest and direct approach and strong track record make her the ideal executive to lead our communications efforts."

Working with the senior management team at Time Inc., Ms. Everett will help develop Time Inc.'s long term approach to maximize Time Inc.'s scale position for continued growth within the publishing industry. Ms. Everett will advise on communications strategies across departments and divisions within the Company. Additionally, she will be responsible for the execution of Time Inc.'s corporate philanthropy and social responsibility strategy.

Ms. Everett most recently served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Corporate Communications of News Corp. She joined News Corp. in 2000 as Vice President of Corporate Communications and spearheaded its Los Angeles-based communications initiatives. Over the succeeding decade, she expanded her portfolio of responsibilities to include corporate affairs and corporate social responsibility, ultimately running News Corp.'s global corporate affairs and communications efforts since December 2009.
