LOS ANGELES , February 28, 2012 () – Home Depot's partnership with eBay's PayPal online payment service is expanding beyond its pilot program at the home improvement chain's physical stores, MarketWatch reported Feb. 24.

The program had begun at 51 Home Depot stores in California and now will be expanded to include all of the company's roughly 2,000 U.S. locations.

PayPal's service allows Home Depot customers to enter their phone number and a PIN to make a purchase.

The service expansion should be completed at all stores by the end of March.

PayPal hopes to make its service available at about 20 other traditional retailers by the end of 2012.
