Cameroon's robusta coffee exports down 85% year-over-year to 252 tonnes in January, report says; arabica shipments fall to 60 kg from 12 tonnes last year

LOS ANGELES , February 24, 2012 () – Cameroon’s robust coffee exports fell 85% year-over-year to 252 tonnes in January, according to a joint report from the Cocoa and Coffee Board and the Cocoa and Coffee Interprofessional Board, Bloomberg reported Feb. 24.

Arabica shipments from Central Africa's largest coffee grower dropped to 60 kilograms from 12 tonnes last year, the report said.

Total robusta shipments totaled 461 tonnes since the season began in December. Arabica exports are at 61 tonnes since the crop harvest started in October.
