Hormel Foods names Luis G. Marconi VP of grocery products marketing, effective March 5

AUSTIN, Minnesota , February 22, 2012 (press release) – Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE: HRL) today announced the advancement of Luis G. Marconi, managing director of MegaMex Foods (Orange, Calif.), to vice president of Grocery Products marketing at the Hormel Foods Corporate Office (Austin, Minn.) effective March 5, 2012.

Formed in 2009, MegaMex Foods LLC is a joint venture between Hormel Foods Corporation and Herdez Del Fuerte, S.A. de C.V.

Marconi
Marconi began his career with Hormel Foods in 2000 as the manager of international sales and marketing in the international division. He advanced in 2006 to a senior role in the Grocery Products division as manager of international joint ventures. In 2009, when the MegaMex Foods joint venture was formed, Marconi was appointed managing director by the Board of Managers.
