Taylor Morrison sold 485 homes in Florida in 2011, expects more than 500 sales and closings in state this year

LOS ANGELES , February 17, 2012 (Industry Intelligence) – Arizona-based homebuilder Taylor Morrison said it sold 485 homes in Florida last year and is expecting more than 500 sales and closings in the state in 2012, The Herald-Tribune reported Feb. 17.

To that end, said Steve Kempton, president of Taylor Morrison West Florida, the company is actively purchasing land purchases and planning new communities in the state. It recently, for example, bought 450 lots in Lakewood Ranch for its Esplanade development.

Taylor Morrison is now targeting areas from Pasco to Collier counties for land purchases in Florida.
