Procter & Gamble’s Febreze—the trusted brand known for eliminating odors and providing fresh scents in the home—is helping service men and women breathe happy this Valentine’s Day. To express their gratitude and show support for troops abroad and wounded warriors at home, Febreze has partnered with Macaroni Kid’s Military Family network and Operation Gratitude to send 60,000 Set & Refresh products to U.S. Service Members. Among other necessities, Febreze is a top item requested by military serving overseas to help freshen uniforms and barracks.
“We hope that these care packages and products bring comfort to those serving overseas and encourage all Febreze fans to visit the Facebook page to participate through a virtual donation to the troops.”
“Valentine’s Day is a great time to show our nation’s troops and their families our appreciation by helping them breathe happy wherever they may be,” said External Relations Manager Jeff Pierce, Febreze. “We hope that these care packages and products bring comfort to those serving overseas and encourage all Febreze fans to visit the Facebook page to participate through a virtual donation to the troops.”
Febreze’s partnership with Macaroni Kid and Operation Gratitude is an extension of Febreze’s Breathe Happy campaign, which sets out to prove to real people that Febreze freshness and scent can transform the air, so anyone can breathe happy no matter what.
Through Febreze’s partnership with the Macaroni Kid Military Family network, the brand is supporting fifteen military care package events nationwide, by providing Set & Refresh product samples for inclusion in care packages. At each event, families will send Valentine messages along with snacks and essentials to troops abroad. Macaroni Kid Military Family is a free, monthly newsletter written for and by military parents. It is one edition of Macaroni Kid which delivers news and information about local events for kids and families in more than 400 communities across the country. The military newsletter fosters support for families experiencing military separations by providing tips for staying in contact and community resources to help families manage the various challenges of deployment.
Operation Gratitude, a non-profit organization, annually sends over 100,000 care packages filled with snacks, entertainment items and personal letters of appreciation to troops and wounded warriors. Following a successful military donation in 2009, Febreze reinvigorated the partnership with Operation Gratitude for inclusion in this year’s “Patriotic Care Packages.”
Febreze Set & Refresh has innovative technology that slowly releases scented oils without the use of plugs or batteries to provide odor elimination and noticeably long-lasting freshness. With convenience and safety in mind, Set & Refresh is the perfect way to freshen to any small space in your home – or home away from home.
