San Miguel Brewery increased net profit 17.4% year-over-year to 12.2B Philippine pesos in 2011, increased consolidated net sales revenue 6.3% to 71.9 billion Philippine pesos due to higher volume and sales prices

LOS ANGELES , February 7, 2012 () – San Miguel Corp.’s San Miguel Brewery Inc. (SMB) increased its net profit 17.4% year-over-year to 12.2 billion Philippine pesos (US$395.4 million) in 2011, the Philippine Daily Inquirer reported on Feb. 7.

SMB increased consolidated net sales revenue 6.3% to 71.9 billion Philippine pesos. The growth was fueled by higher volumes and higher sales prices. Operating income increased 10% in 2011, reaching 20.5 billion Philippine pesos.

SMB plans to issue 20 billion Philippine pesos in bonds to refinance maturing debts.
