– EcoLogic President James Rooney joined by Letica’s Dan Tafaro to discuss the use of Eco-One™ biodegradable additives in plastic products
EcoLogic, a company creating and providing environmentally responsible solutions globally for plastics, announced today that President James Rooney will lead a presentation at the annual Packaging Strategies Structural Packaging Summit entitled Biodegradable Plastic Additive Innovation.
The Structural Packaging Summit will be held from February 28th – March 1st 2012 at the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort in St. Augustine, Florida.
With its Eco-One™ brand of additives, EcoLogic has created a versatile product that allows for enhanced biodegradability in a wide range of plastic products when disposed in biologically active landfills. On March 1st, Mr. Rooney will discuss the consumer and environmental benefits of utilizing Eco-One when manufacturing packaging materials and other plastic products, providing research and scientific testing data on the resin and a view for the implementation process. Dan Tafaro, Director of Marketing & Sustainability for Letica, will join Mr. Rooney in educating attendees about his company’s use of Eco-One in food packaging, the ease of implanting in their manufacturing process and their initial customer response.
Formed in January 2010, EcoLogic owns, manufactures and markets Eco-One™ brand of additives for plastic products worldwide. Eco-One™ is an organic additive that enhances the biodegradation of plastic products in a biologically active landfill (appropriate facilities are not available in all areas). Independent ASTM D5511 tests, representing biologically active landfills, have shown 5-15% biodegradation within 30 days. Eco-One™ is scientifically unique and validated for enhanced biodegradation.
Our goal is to drive value for our customers by providing them solutions to meet increasing government, industry and consumer demands for environmental sustainability and biodegradability.
