Hypermarcas appoints Nicolas Fischer to president of consumer division, effective February 2012; current president Nelson Mello will hold Institutional Relations position

HYPERMARCAS S.A. ("Hypermarcas" or "Company") hereby publicly informs to its shareholders and to the market in general the hiring of Mr. Nicolas Fischer to hold the office of President of the Consumer Division of the Company, effective as of February, 2012.
Mr. Nicolas Fischer, 45 years old, has a broad and relevant experience in the Cosmetics and Beauty and Personal Care segments, having worked for more than 20 years in the industry, 17 of which in Latin America. Mr. Fischer was the CEO of Nivea Beiersorf in Brazil for the last six years, having leaded the company's growth during such period. He previously served as President of Wella in Chile for 4 years, and Marketing Director of Procter & Gamble for 1 year after Wella's acquisition. Between 1996 and 2001, Mr. Fischer was the CFO of Nivea Brasil. He has a degree in Business Administration by the Technische Universität Berlin, wherein he also concluded his post graduate program, in 1992.
Mr. Fischer's main goal will be to promote the sustainable and profitable growth of Hypermarcas' Consumer Division business, in line with its strategic growth plan.
Mr. Nelson Mello, the current President of the Consumer Division, effective as of February, 2012, shall hold a position as Institutional Relations of the Company.
