ANAHEIM, California , January 23, 2012 (press release) – Seminars: February 14-15, 2012 Exhibition: February 14-16, 2012 Anaheim Convention Center

WestPack, California's largest packaging tradeshow, announced the launch of two new seminars complementing the exposition in Anaheim, California on February 14-16, 2012. The seminars focus on sustainability and automation and cost control, two of the most pressing topics impacting all sectors of the packaging industry.

"Striking a balance between implementing sustainability initiatives while maintaining production efficiency and reducing costs is an ongoing struggle for many packagers," states Shanna Moore, Global Director of Sustainability, DuPont Packaging. These new seminars aim to address these challenges.

Sustainability in Packaging Seminar covers recyclability, renewable resources and cost-benefit analysis with the American Forest & Paper Association, Environmental Packaging International and DuPont Packaging. The Automation and Cost Control in Packaging Seminar covers innovative design and creative strategies for reducing costs, controlling costs throughout production, and streamlining semi-automatic systems with Berlin Packaging and Michigan State University School of Packaging.

Sustainability in Packaging and Automation and Cost Control in Packaging Seminars will be running alongside WestPack, combining four presentations and two workshops with a showcase of 2,175 exhibits of the latest equipment and technologies for a comprehensive experience in one visit. Seminars take place in the afternoon of the first and second days of the WestPack exposition, so visitors can spend their morning networking and visiting the exhibits on the show floor.
