Avery Dennison Corp. plans to close a manufacturing facility in Greensboro, North Carolina, resulting in the layoff of 59 workers, according to a notice the company filed with the state’s Dept. of Commerce, The Business Journal reported Jan. 20.
Employees at the site include customer service representatives, machine operators, material handlers and managers, and whose jobs could be permanently eliminated, the newspaper reported.
According to the company website, the facility’s operations are in Retail Information Services – Ticketing.
Remaining operations will be relocated to another location in Greensboro, according to the company.
The Pasadena, California-based company filed the notice with the department as mandated by the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.
A company representative could not be immediately reached, the newspaper reported.
