LOS ANGELES , January 17, 2012 () – Unicharm Corp. revealed its updated logo, packaging for its MamyPoko brand of diapers, which has a 63% market share in Thailand, The Nation reported on Jan. 17.

Unicharm expects the updated packaging will increase its share in the Thai diaper market by 5% this year. The Thai diaper market, valued at over 8 billion Baht (US$251.7 million), is expected to grow 20% annually over the next two years, reaching more than 10 billion Baht.

The managing director of Unicharm Thailand, Takumi Terakawa, said the diaper market in Thailand continues to grow, as mothers are increasingly using the product. The use of diapers is still low in Thailand compared to other markets.

Unicharm also introduced MamyPoko Extra Dry Stripes Pad for newborns.
