Multi-Color to close its Northmoor, Missouri, location and lay off 65 employees on March 31; site has been acquired, says employee

Multi-Color Corp. will shut down its site in Northmoor, Missouri, and lay off 65 workers, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act filing in the state, Kansas City Business Journal reported Jan. 12.
The site has been acquired, according to an employee at the facility, and layoffs are expected to happen March 31.
The Batavia, Ohio-based company did not immediately return a call, the newspaper reported.
Multi-Color is a label manufacturer for prominent brands in home and personal care, wine and spirit, food and beverage and specialty consumer products, according to the company website.
It employs about 2,800 people across 29 operations on six continents, according to the website.
