Kazakhstan Kagazy subsidiary Kagazy Recycling joins European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers

JSC «Kazakhstan Kagazy» (the “Group”) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Kagazy Recycling Ltd has joined the European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers (the “Federation”). Kagazy Recycling is the only company from Central Asia to become a member of this organisation.
The Federation provides opportunities for professional development and education in the field of production of corrugated packaging and business networking, whilst also offering advice on doing business in different countries.
Cooperation between Kagazy Recycling and the Federation will help inform international markets of new technologies and specifics of the sector in Kazakhstan on the one hand, and on the other, will keep Kagazy Recycling up to date with current trends in the international market of corrugated packaging.
General Director Irina Yevtushenko said: “We very much appreciate the importance of interaction with other international manufacturers of corrugated board. It is crucial for us to be aware of current trends and to have a clear understanding of the modern market’s demands and issues. We believe that joining the Federation will help us to reach international level in the sector.”

Kagazy RecyclingLtd is a subsidiary of JSC Kazakhstan Kagazy which employs over 1,200 people. This is the largest producer of container board and corrugated board in Central Asia. The Company offers a wide range of corrugated board packaging products, including food packaging, packaging of household chemicals, furniture, and other materials.

European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers was founded in 1952. Today the Federation unites virtually all European manufacturers of corrugated packaging. The total yearly production of Federation members amounts to 40bn sqm and they employ about 100, 000 people.
