IP declares quarterly dividend of US$0.2625/share payable March 15

MEMPHIS, Tennessee , January 10, 2012 (press release) – International Paper (NYSE: IP - News) today declared a quarterly dividend of $0.2625 per share for the period from January 1, 2012 , to March 31, 2012 , inclusive, on its common stock, par value $1.00 . This dividend is payable on March 15, 2012 , to holders of record at the close of business on February 15, 2012 .

Today the company also declared a regular quarterly dividend of $1.00 per share for the period from January 1, 2012 , to March 31, 2012 , inclusive, on the cumulative $4.00 preferred stock of the company. This dividend is also payable on March 15, 2012 , to holders of record at the close of business on February 15, 2012 .
