Two U.S. convenience-store chains led the food retail industry in expected year-over-year earnings-per-share growth, according to a report on Financial News Network, Convenience Store News reported Dec. 28.

Susser Holdings Corp., which operates Stripes c-stores, is expected to see an 85% yearly increase in EPS growth.

Second on the list was The Pantry Inc., operator of Kangaroo Express stores, which is anticipating 26.2% EPS growth.

Susser Holdings Corp. led the food retail industry regarding year-over-year expected earnings per share (EPS) growth rates.
