Richardson Industries to close truss manufacturing plant in De Pere, Wisconsin, with loss of 18 jobs; layoffs will begin Feb. 17

LOS ANGELES , December 28, 2011 () – Richardson Industries Inc. is to close its truss manufacturing plant in De Pere, Wisconsin, with the loss of 18 jobs, the Sheboygan Press reported on Dec. 28.

The Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin-based company has notified the state Department of Workforce Development of the planned closure and layoffs, which will begin on Feb. 17.

The company has retail furniture, building products and yacht interiors business interests. The De Pere plant is part of its Richco Structures division, which according to Richardson’s website is one of the Midwest’s largest manufacturers of custom fabricated wood roof trusses, floor trusses and wall components and a distributor of engineered wood products for the construction industry.
