LOS ANGELES , December 27, 2011 () – Peru’s coffee harvest increased 18% year-over-year to 6.2 million 46-kilogram bags in 2011, driven by “favorable climate conditions,” according to the country’s National Coffee Board, Bloomberg reported Dec. 27.

The country’s coffee export revenue rose 58% to US$1.4 billion in 2011, according to the group.
