ST. JOSEPH, Missouri , December 14, 2011 () – Officials in St. Joseph are moving to help a Colorado company revive the stalled construction of a biodiesel plant.

The St. Joseph News-Press reports the City Council voted 6-2 this week to issue up to $25.5 million in bonds for Denver-based Blue Sun Biodiesel.

The company announced plans in October to finishing building the Terra Bioenergy plant. Groundbreaking took place in 2008, but construction stalled and the plant never went into production.

An agreement with the city requires Blue Sun to create at least 30 jobs with average salaries of nearly $42,000 by the end of 2014.
