VIENNA , December 1, 2011 (press release) – Mondi offers outstanding containerboard qualities specifically for fruit and vegetable packaging. Visit Mondi’s booth in hall 1.1/stand F-02, entrance south. Fruit Logistica takes place in Berlin from February 8 to 10, 2012.

For the second time, Mondi Containerboard is using the international show for the fruit and vegetable trade to showcase its products. The highlight of the booth presentation will be the new fluting, ProVantage Fluting Frigo Forte, which is produced at the Raubling mill. The fluting, made entirely from recycled fibre, has been developed for heavy-duty, high-strength packaging that is stored in wet or cold conditions.

Commenting on the most recent developments, Florian Stockert, Sales & Marketing Director Containerboard at Mondi E&I, says, “ProVantage Fluting Frigo Forte offers a significantly reduced base weight without any loss of strength. As shown in laboratory tests, 127 gsm ProVantage Fluting Frigo Forte can substitute 150 gsm recycled fibre fluting in corrugated board without any loss of quality. When using and converting Mondi containerboard, our customers are able to realize cost savings by reducing the overall weight of a packaging solution.”

A selected range of 12 highly functional containerboard qualities will be on show on the booth.
