Newark Group's paperboard products locations in Toronto, Jacksonville, Florida, pass surveillance audits to continue ISO certification

CRANFORD, New Jersey , November 14, 2011 (press release) – The Newark Group today announced that its Newark Paperboard Products locations in Toronto, Ontario and Jacksonville, Florida have passed surveillance audits to continue ISO 9001:2008 certification.

Some of the requirements in ISO 9001:2008 include: Top Management involvement with a review of the system quarterly; a set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business; monitoring processes to ensure they are effective; keeping adequate records and calibration of equipment; checking inputs and output for defects with appropriate corrective action where necessary; training for employees in the key areas of safety, operations and customer requirements, and facilitating continual improvement.
