LOS ANGELES , December 5, 2011 () – SABMiller’s Tanzanian unit reported fiscal first-half earnings of 74.7 billion shillings (US$45 million), a 77% increase from the year-ago period amid increased sales, Bloomberg reported Dec. 5.

Sales rose 32% to 386.5 billion shillings in the six months through September.

The company is looking to boost capacity after reporting strong growth in its business over the past year.
