Petition requesting Grand Canyon officials to ban plastic water bottles at the national park receives more than 90,000 signatures

LOS ANGELES , November 29, 2011 () – More than 90,000 signers supported a petition on Change.org requesting Grand Canyon officials to ban plastic water bottles at the national park after they postponed such plans following a meeting with Coca-Cola Co., Plastics News reported Nov. 29.

Portland-based marine plastic pollution activist Stiv Wilson began the petition after the park officials tabled the ban.
