Diageo's Kenyan unit to introduce new brand of its Tusker beer, start canning its non-malt drink in the country, says unit CEO

LOS ANGELES , November 28, 2011 () – The CEO of Diageo’s Plc’s Kenyan unit said that the company plans to introduce a new brand of its Tusker beer and will start canning its non-malt drink in the country, Bloomberg reported Nov. 26.

Seni Adetu, CEO of East African Breweries Ltd., said that the company will introduce Tusker Lite and start a new line to can its non-malt drink Alvaro. The moves, Adetu said, are expected to improve Diageo’s top-line growth.
