British Columbia's forests ministry announces new woodlot license near Gold River with proposed AAC of 3,000 m3

VICTORIA, British Columbia , November 16, 2011 (press release) – A new woodlot licence available near Gold River will increase forestry opportunities for small operators.

The woodlot includes 740 hectares of Crown land near Hisnit Inlet, approximately 30 kilometres west of Gold River, and has a proposed allowable annual cut of 3,000 cubic metres. Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 11 a.m.

• There are about 860 active woodlots in British Columbia.
• Each woodlot generates jobs in planning, harvesting, road construction and maintenance, reforestation, silviculture and small-scale timber processing.
