Stora Enso reports total 250 A shares converted to R shares during October, trading in new R shares to begin Nov. 16

HELSINKI , November 15, 2011 (press release) – During the 1-31 October 2011 conversion period there was one conversion and a total of 250 A shares were converted into R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish trade register today, 15 November 2011, and trading in the new R shares will start on 16 November 2011.

Breakdown of shares after conversion:

A shares 177 148 772
R shares 612 389 727
Total 789 538 499

Each A share and each ten R shares carry one vote. The total amount of votes after conversion is 238 387 969.
