North Dakota's corn harvest 96% complete, well ahead of average, USDA says; sunflower crop 85% harvested

– North Dakota's corn harvest is almost wrapped up, and the sunflower harvest isn't far behind.
The Agriculture Department says in its weekly crop and weather report that the corn harvest is 96 percent done and the sunflower harvest is 85 percent complete, both well ahead of the long-term average pace.
Topsoil and subsoil moisture supplies are rated mostly adequate to surplus, along with stockwater supplies. Pasture and range conditions in North Dakota are rated mostly fair or good to excellent.
