HAMBURG, Germany , November 4, 2011 (press release) – Greater system availability and higher performance are the focus of operators of folio-size sheeters. They need specific support, especially in the converting of coated paper as well as in measures for increasing efficiency through systematic automation of their machines. A service product from a single source – independent of the manufacturer – is in high demand.

For this reason, E.C.H. Will based in Wedel near Hamburg, Germany and SRM Elektro-Anlagentechnik GmbH (in the future: GapCon SRM Automation GmbH) based in Neuss, Germany will combine their expertise. This cooperation allows the two companies to develop a joint offer of individual and comprehensive maintenance and service concepts for the entire finishing equipment of all manufacturers. In addition to pure mechanical overhaul, this offer includes increased performance through specific automation of the machine.

Also for future developments of modernization programs, E.C.H. Will and SRM will cooperate in offering a customized and complete solution right from the outset for all systems in the finishing equipment to their common customer: the paper industry.

E.C.H. Will is a leading manufacturer of folio-size sheeters and provides its customers with high performance systems, equipped with the latest technology and maximum flexibility and offering working widths from 1450 mm up to 2900 mm and speeds up to 410 m/min. With a special sheet transport and overlapping system for sensitive paper and board types, the patented PRO technology allows mark-free sheeting without limiting the speed. The large installed base and the global service network ensure optimum proximity to customers.

SRM Elektro-Anlagentechnik GmbH is an expert in the field of automation and specializes in the electrical and mechanical modernization of existing cross cutters of all makes. In particular, the company has many years of experience in maintenance as well as rebuild and expansion of folio-size sheeters of the Jagenberg brand.

Klaus Aarestrup, Chairman of the Board of E.C.H. Will, is convinced: "The cooperation with SRM is an ideal partnership. Together, we can offer our customers a well-thought-out service and modernization concept for increasing system availability and performance". And Jan Jäger, CEO of SRM, adds: "In future, our customers will have a single contact partner for their systems for both the modernization of their folio-size sheeter and for service and maintenance".
