The November contract price for U.S. paraxylene decreased by US$132 per tonne to settle at US$1,630.96/tonne, Platts reported Nov. 2, citing a PET maker.
According to the article, the drop followed Asian and European contracts down. Those contracts saw declines of $120/tonne in Asia from the partial settlement last month and $123/tonne in Europe from last month's most recent settlement.
Producers have not confirmed the November CP.
U.S. spot market offers for November PX were heard at $1,410/tonne free on board U.S. Gulf USG on Nov. 2, but there were no bids, Platts noted.
