The Newark Group, a leading integrated producer of 100% recycled paperboard and converted paperboard products, today announced that Mr. Gregg R. Kam has been named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Newark Group effective November 2, 2011. Mr. Kam will replace Mr. Joe Byrne.
“Gregg brings to The Newark Group turnaround financial experience coupled with an outside perspective. He is eager to challenge the “status-quo” while driving new initiatives”, commented Mr. Frank Papa, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Newark Group. He added, “His record of earnings growth and working capital management is impressive, and we are eager to begin working with him as we continue to evolve as a leader in recycled paperboard.”
Mr. Kam rose to positions of increased responsibility in a career that began as a Senior Accountant and Senior Financial Analyst at a private CPA firm, Holmes Protection and Unilever. He was Chief Financial Officer of International Specialty Products.
