When hitting the bars and clubs scene this wintertime, make sure to use deodorant beforehand.
According to a new survey by free dating site Smooch.com, perspiration really is the biggest turn-off when dating.
The study of over 17,000 registered daters revealed that cleanliness is a necessity as a massive 42% of respondents cited body odour as the main repellent when meeting a potential partner.
And it isn’t just body smell that discourages budding romances. Over 32% of those surveyed said that bad oral hygiene was a major turn-off!
Further aspects that disgusted people when dating and distracted them from finding their soul mate included being overweight (17%), unemployed (5%), and underweight (2%).
The dating site’s findings suggest that sanitation is more paramount to not having a job when socialising, and that it is far more discouraging dating someone overweight than underweight.
