RPC Containers UKSC has created a bespoke bottle for a next-generation laundry detergent attracting the attention of some of the UK’s biggest entrepreneurs.
Halo Laundry Detergents has quickly gained a formidable reputation in the laundry detergent market. Halo protects clothing from up to 99.99 per cent of bacteria and viruses.
It destroys the H1N1 flu virus, clostridium difficile (C.diff) spores and MRSA bacteria within five minutes contact time, washing at only 30C.
RPC UKSC was able to offer brand owner Eastern Valley Chemicals its complete in-house design service, with extensive experience of all aspects of packaging technology and applications.
The custom-moulding facility allows designers to work closely with brand owners on packaging which increases brand impact.
A custom mould was then created to produce the 1litre bottles in blow-moulded HDPE. The bottles are being produced in striking silver and blue, adding to the on-shelf appeal of the detergent.
The detergent is produced and bottled by Eastern Valley Chemicals in Wales. During development, representatives twice appeared on BBC TV’s Dragon’s Den, where inventors seek investment into their businesses in return for a percentage of the company. Two offers of investment were made, but were turned down.
Since then the product has been approved and will be stocked in more than 500 Tesco stores.
In addition to creating bespoke packs, RPC UKSC with sites in Rushden and Plenmeller, offers an extensive range of standard containers from 150ml to 30l with various neck and weight options. Standard and custom colour ranges enhance product impact while a range of closures, with colour options, is available to fit all standard necks.
The comprehensive decoration facilities include silk screen printing, labelling and sleeving (shrink and stretch).
