LOS ANGELES , October 26, 2011 () – Heinz is introducing a new ketchup product blended with balsamic vinegar, with the company first making the product available only through Facebook, The New York Times reported Oct. 25.

The new ketchup, which substitutes balsamic vinegar for white vinegar, will first be available on Nov. 14, but only through the brand’s Facebook page. The product will begin to appear in supermarkets in late December.

Heinz has more than 825,000 followers on Facebook. The company hopes that consumers will spread the word about the purchase.
