The Unilever plant in Jonesboro is planning a jobs-related announcement.
Gov. Mike Beebe is to be on hand Tuesday afternoon for the event at the factory. Beebe's office says a "significant jobs announcement" is planned.
The $64 million hair-care products plant was built by Alberto Culver and opened in 2008. Unilever PLC has since bought Alberto Culver and has given a favorable review to the plant, which employs 400 people.
The factory produces brands that include TRESemme, Nexxus, Noxzema, St. Ives, Just for Me, Soft & Beautiful and Motions. The company's ethnic hair care products are made exclusively in Jonesboro.
The announcement is set for 2:30 p.m. Region 8's Brandi Hunter will have details about the announcement on Region 8 News at 5, 6, and 10.
