NEW YORK , October 24, 2011 () – Nearly 100 firefighters from 12 towns have helped put out a fire a New Hampshire wood pellet plant.

Firefighters say the fire started at New England Wood Pellet Company in Jaffrey just after 6 p.m. Thursday.

WMUR-TV reports fire crews heard multiple explosions at the plant, which started in the main building and spread to a couple of silos.

No one was hurt. There’s no immediate word on what caused the fire.

An accidental fire at the plant in 2008 started near a motor of a pellet mill and extended into a conveyor system.
