Office Depot says it will offer Amazon's Kindle Fire for US$199 at its stores in time for the holiday season

BOCA RATON, Florida , October 19, 2011 (Office Depot) – Office Depot (NYSE: ODP), celebrating 25 years as a leading global provider of office supplies and services, today announced plans to offer Amazon’s Kindle Fire for $199 at nationwide retail store locations in time for the start of the 2011 Holiday season.

Kindle Fire is a new class of Kindle that brings the same ease-of-use and deep integration of content that helped Kindle re-invent reading - to movies, TV shows, music, magazines, apps, books, games, and more.

The Kindle Fire features a dual-core processor, 7-inch color touch screen, 8GB of onboard storage, unlimited cloud-based storage for content purchased from Amazon.com, eight hours of battery life, and the revolutionary cloud-accelerated Amazon Silk web browser.

Office Depot will also offer Kindle Fire accessories at launch, including a zip sleeve for $29.99.
