CSX names Anne Chettle Reinke VP, federal legislation, succeeding Michael J. Ruehling upon retirement

JACKSONVILLE, Florida , October 14, 2011 (press release) – CSX Corporation announced today the appointment of Anne Chettle Reinke as vice president-federal legislation, effective upon the retirement of Michael J. Ruehling after many years of distinguished service.

Reinke, who joined CSX in 2003 as director-federal affairs, will report to Ellen M. Fitzsimmons, senior vice president-law and public affairs. From the company's Washington, D.C., offices, Reinke will direct all federal government affairs activities and continue to play a key role in shaping initiatives that support the quality and efficiency of rail transportation.

Ruehling, who joined CSX in 1989 after serving on the staff of former U.S. Senator Wendell Ford (D-Ky.), was appointed vice president-state relations in 1995. He was named vice president-federal legislation in 2004 and will retire at the end of 2011.

Reinke has worked on key federal legislative and agency issues involving economic regulation, rail safety, and high speed and passenger rail.  She holds a bachelor's degree from Rice University and a law degree from Wake Forest University. Reinke joined CSX from the Association of American Railroads where she was the manager of congressional relations.
